Position SummaryThe Service Desk Technician ensures proper computer operation so that end users can accomplish business tasks. Duties include triaging incoming phone calls, prioritizing, documenting, and resolving or escalating end user help requests on all corporate hardware and software. The technician maintains and logs all support calls in the support center database application for call tracking and SLA requirements.
Position Qualifications- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 1 year of general desktop experience with hardware and business applications (word processing, databases, spreadsheets, operating systems).
- Valid driver’s license or equivalent; A+ certification preferred.
- Personal computer, cell phone, and high‑speed internet.
- Basic understanding of computer technology and terminology (operating systems, hardware, office automation applications, peripheral installations).
- No supervisory responsibilities.
- No on‑call responsibilities.
