- Work Centre Optimization: Responsible for the setup, organization, and maximization of all machines with the support of operators. Prioritize efficient solutions, spindle engagement, part throughput, and most importantly ensure the highest quality and safety standards are upheld.
- Production and Quality Control: Monitor machining processes to ensure efficient operations and on‑time production. Inspect parts and ensure finished products meet specifications and quality standards. Troubleshoot production issues and implement corrective actions.
- Safety and Compliance: Maintain a safe working environment in compliance with OSHA and company regulations.
- Operations and Reporting: Monitor machine maintenance needs and coordinate repairs. Complete work‑centre scheduling activities. Recommend process improvements for machining efficiency and safety.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical degree or machinist certification preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of machining experience in an aerospace manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of CNC machining, manual machining, and programming processes.
- CAD/CAM proficient, in order to interpret and enhance established programs.
- MasterCAM preferred.
- Ability to set up and validate production on 3-, 4-, 5‑axis mills, and lathes with a variety of sizes and controllers:
Siemens, Fanuc, Haas. - Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders.
