• Minimum Education:
  
  Completion of an NLN approved nursing education program.
• Associate Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred.
• Minimum Experience:
  
  1-2 years of OR experience.
• Licensed in good standing as a Registered Professional Nurse in Alaska.
• Current BLS & ACLS certifications; PALS certification preferred.
• National Certification in Surgery/PACU preferred.

• Proficient oral and written communication skills.
• Strong cognitive and technical abilities to manage care across various care settings.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing work schedules and ability to exercise independent judgment within prescribed limits.
• Ability to administer treatments, medications, and interpret diagnostic tests while providing education to patients and families.
• Familiarity with AORN standards and medical terminology.

• Language skills:
  Ability to read, analyze, and interpret professional journals and regulations.
• Capability to document care delivery actions and present information effectively.
• Mathematical skills:
  Proficient in basic arithmetic and ability to interpret graphs and data.
• Reasoning ability:
  Able to solve practical problems and interpret a variety of instructions.

• Collaborate with Administrative Assistants, Schedulers, and CSR Techs under the direction of the Charge Nurse.

• Availability for Days and Nights is required.
