- Provide quality nursing care to all patients within the LPN scope of practice, respecting patient rights and dignity.
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered; monitor patient response and report changes to the care team.
- Support room preparation and stocking; collaborate with Health Aides to ensure check‑lists are completed and supplies are available.
- Screen calls over the phone as needed and assist mid‑levels in the clinic after hours when required.
- Apply age‑specific considerations and cultural sensitivity in patient care; maintain competencies relevant to the position.
- Coordinate care with the broader care team and contribute to a safe, patient‑centered outpatient environment.
- Ensure care is provided from birth through elderly years, aligning with the assigned patient population.
- Licensure:
Must be licensed in good standing in the State of Alaska as a Registered Professional Nurse. - Education:
Minimum education from an LPN/LVN program; graduate from an LNL school for LPNs or LVNs. - Experience:
New graduates accepted; preferred one year of hospital experience. - Certifications:
Current CPR certification (BCLS) required; current Basic Life Support (BLS) on file. - Additional qualifications:
IV certification course (preferred);
Non‑Violent Crisis Intervention Certification (preferred). - Additional requirements:
Ability to work in a hospital outpatient setting; travel eligibility for a 13‑week assignment. - COVID‑19 vaccination:
Travelers must show proof of completed COVID‑19 vaccination.
