Corrections Nurse 1/2 – Yukon Kuskokwim Correctional Center (YKCC)
We are recruiting a Corrections Nurse 1/2 in Bethel, Alaska to provide quality healthcare within a secure correctional environment.
What You Will Be Doing:- Triage and assess patients
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments
- Maintain patient medical records
- Observe, document, and report changes in the physical and mental conditions of patients
- Handle crisis situations in a calm and effective manner

The Working Environment You Can Expect:Corrections Nurses at YKCC serve approximately 150 patients. Nurses must master policies, procedures, and protocols, understand scope of practice, and practice in a highly autonomous setting.

Candidate must be licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Alaska. For Corrections Nurse 2, additional criteria include successful completion of a formal training plan or one year of entry‑level RN experience.
Background and Security RequirementsApplicants must pass a background investigation, including fingerprinting, and be eligible for a security clearance through the Alaska Public Safety Information Network (APSIN). Prior felony or misdemeanor convictions may disqualify an applicant.
