Job Summary:

Provides comprehensive nursing care in an outpatient or ambulatory care setting, ensuring patient assessments, education, and treatment plans are effectively implemented. Collaborates with healthcare teams to deliver quality, patient-centered services across diverse populations.

Responsibilities:

  • Assess patient health status and identify nursing care needs through detailed clinical evaluations.
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans in accordance with nursing standards and patient needs.
  • Administer medications, treatments, and diagnostic tests accurately while monitoring patient responses.
  • Educate patients and families on health conditions, treatments, and post-discharge care instructions.
  • Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate seamless patient care.
  • Supervise and support nursing staff, including unit secretaries and PCTs, ensuring adherence to policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Hold an active, valid Alaska RN license in good standing.
  • Complete a nursing program from an NLN-accredited institution.
  • Prefer one year of recent nursing experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Maintain current BLS certification and pass necessary competencies for the role.
  • Demonstrate proficient communication, documentation, and clinical decision-making skills.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, basic EKG, and nursing procedures.
