LVN ​/ LPN – Ambulatory Care​/Clinic​/Outpatient

Job Summary:

Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in an outpatient or clinic setting, ensuring patient rights and dignity are maintained. Collaborate with healthcare team members to deliver comprehensive patient care across all age groups and backgrounds.

Responsibilities:

• Administer basic nursing care to patients in accordance with scope of practice.
• Collaborate with health aides to ensure patient rooms are well-stocked and check-lists are completed.
• Assist in ordering and managing medical supplies to support clinic operations.
• Screen telephone calls and assist mid-level providers with after-hours patient care as needed.
• Apply age-specific and cultural considerations when delivering patient care.
• Support clinic and organizational policies, including patient safety and care standards.

Qualifications:

• Graduate from an LNL school for LPNs or LVNs.
• Maintain licensure as an LPN in the State of Alaska in good standing.
• Obtain and maintain current CPR (BCLS) certification.
• Be licensed in good standing as a Registered Professional Nurse in Alaska.
• Complete an IV certification course;
  Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Certification preferred.
• Demonstrate knowledge of medical terminology and psychiatric patient care.
