Job Summary:

Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in a long-term care or skilled nursing facility setting. Serve as a key member of the nursing team, ensuring compassionate, respectful treatment while adhering to scope of practice and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities:

• Administer nursing care to all patients while respecting patient rights and dignity.
• Collaborate effectively with physicians and multidisciplinary team members to develop and implement care plans.
• Monitor patient conditions, record clinical information, and communicate updates efficiently.
• Maintain compliance with licensing, certification, and competency requirements.
• Utilize equipment such as thermometers, pulse oximeters, and Datascope to assist in patient assessments.
• Participate in ongoing education and pass required competency assessments regularly.

Qualifications:

• Graduate from an approved LPN/LVN program.
• Holds a current, valid LPN license in good standing in Alaska.
• Possesses CPR (BLS) certification.
• Demonstrates basic proficiency in medical equipment and clinical documentation.
• Exhibits strong communication skills for effective collaboration and reporting.
• Willing to complete IV certification course if not already certified.
