City of Bethel, Alaska seeks a Mechanic I or II, Heavy Equipment Mechanic/Oiler to diagnose, repair, and maintain a variety of City vehicles and equipment. Duties include engine, ignition, electrical, cooling, and transmission work with road tests.
Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, completion of an automotive apprenticeship, and at least 3 years of vehicle maintenance experience. USDOT FMCSA safety-test requirements may apply; this is a permanent bargaining unit position.
