We are seeking a hands‑on Engineering Manager to lead engineering activities across 2 facilities in the Bethel, CT Area. This role is highly technical and focused on advancing process capability, driving NPI, and enabling growth through engineering innovation. The ideal candidate brings strong manufacturing engineering expertise, aerospace quality experience, and the leadership to build a high‑performing, cross‑functional engineering team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead & develop engineering teams across both locations to support production, NPI, and technical problem-solving
  • Drive process improvements to increase capacity, reduce scrap, eliminate downtime, & improve product manufacturability
  • Own technical aspects of New Product Introduction (NPI), including feasibility, tooling, and process development
  • Partner closely with Operations to ensure manufacturing readiness and a successful product launch
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, and structured problem‑solving methods
  • Lead root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions to resolve engineering and production issues
  • Ensure process documentation meets AS9100 and ITAR regulatory requirements
  • Support technology roadmap planning, including automation, tooling upgrades, equipment selection, and capability expansion
  • Measure and report engineering performance and project status to executive leadership
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or related engineering field required (advanced degree a plus)
  • 5+ years engineering experience in aerospace & defense or advanced metal manufacturing environment
  • Demonstrated success in process development, tooling design, and production support
  • Working knowledge of AS9100, ITAR, and Nadcap requirements
  • Experience leading engineering teams or acting as a technical lead
  • Proven ability to collaborate cross‑functionally and influence outcomes
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills; data‑driven decision making
  • Hands‑on approach and willingness to be active on the production floor
