CNC Lathe Machinist; 2nd Shift

CNC Lathe Machinist Position

Hamilton Connections is seeking candidates for a CNC lathe machinist position on the second shift at a manufacturing company in Bethel, CT. This is a temp-to-hire position. The hours are 3:30 p.m.

-12 a.m., Monday-Friday. The salary is $20-$30 an hour, based on experience.

• Setup, maintenance and operation of Haas CNC turning centers
• Work with engineering to install and optimize new production programs and setups
• Maintain quality of all parts produced by continued machine side inspection during runs
• Deliver production jobs on time and within budget
• Review instructions to understand specifications of output
• Monitor machine while working to make necessary adjustments and identify issues
• Other duties as assigned

• At least 5 years of experience setting up and operating CNC turning centers, primarily Haas, in a fast-paced production environment
• Assist less skilled operators to maintain production and quality standards
• Possess a good understanding of QA and/or manufacturing processes
• Proficient with measuring instruments and reading blueprints
• ISO/AS9100 experience a plus
• Able to handle physical aspects of the job, including standing for long periods and heavy lifting
• Able to work overtime when needed
• Able to pass pre-employment screenings
