Technician

This role supports the Lightspeed project, a new prototype focused on precise tubing. You will perform detailed inspections using a microscope, work with tight tolerances, and use precise measuring tools to ensure high-quality assemblies in a cleanroom environment. The position requires strong attention to detail, excellent hand-eye coordination, and the ability to support both electrical and mechanical aspects of the project.

Responsibilities
  • Perform detailed inspections of components and assemblies using a microscope to ensure compliance with tight tolerances and quality standards.
  • Support assembly, repair, and service activities related to the Lightspeed prototype and precise tubing products.
  • Use electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve issues in production and prototype builds.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to guide assembly, inspection, and repair tasks.
  • Operate precise measuring tools to verify dimensions and ensure components meet required specifications.
  • Work effectively in a cleanroom environment, following all cleanliness and handling procedures.
  • Use hand tools safely and accurately for assembly, adjustment, and repair work.
  • Collaborate closely with the engineering team to provide feedback on prototypes and support product development.
  • Document inspection results and any nonconformities clearly and accurately.
  • Maintain high levels of attention to detail throughout production and inspection processes.
Essential Skills
  • Proven experience performing inspections using a microscope.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent hand-eye coordination for microscopic and precision work.
  • Hands-on experience with electrical and mechanical tasks, including troubleshooting and assembly.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
  • Proficiency using precise measuring tools to verify tight tolerances.
  • Comfort working in a cleanroom environment and following strict procedural guidelines.
  • Skilled in the use of standard hand tools for production, assembly, and repair work.
  • Ability to support production activities while maintaining high quality standards.

Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience with inspections in a production or prototype setting.
  • Background in working alongside engineering teams on development projects.
  • Familiarity with tight tolerance manufacturing and precision tubing or similar components.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $54000.00 - $71000.00/yr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
