The Yukon-Kuskokwim Health Corporation is a Tribal health care organization, serving nearly 30,000 people living across rural, southwest Alaska in villages with populations from about 10 to more than 1,000. Bethel, the regional hub and location of the only hospital in the region, has a population of nearly 7,000. Position Summary: This position prepares and cooks food for daily production demands. This position also coordinates preparation, service, and delivery of special food service orders and catered events. This position is responsible for supervising and monitoring compliance with sanitation and infection control procedures and standards.

Qualifications:
Minimum Education:
High School diploma or equivalent.
Minimum Experience:
Two years experience in an institutional food service setting.
Licensing/Certification:
Sanitation course certificate or must be eligible to complete a sanitation certification course.
Equipment/Tools:
Knowledge of the use, handling and maintenance of kitchen prep and cooking utensils, small kitchen appliances and institutional size kitchen appliances.
Specialized Knowledge and
Skills:
Formal training in institutional food preparation.
