Advanced Testing Systems is seeking a NETA technician to join our team! This is a full-time, on-site position in our Bethel, CT office. Applicants must be able to commute or be planning to relocate to the area. Responsibilities
  • Perform acceptance and maintenance testing on electrical equipment per NETA standards
  • Operate various testing tools and equipment including megger, hipot, digital multimeter, multiamp relay tester, GFI, TTR, VLF, primary and secondary injection sets, etc.
  • Generate and maintain written records and technical reports detailing all work performed in the field.
  • Read and interpret electrical control schematics and diagrams.
  • Perform extensive troubleshooting, testing, and problem identification.
  • Maintain strict compliance with regulatory laws and ATS safety policies.
Requirements
  • NETA Level II Certification or above
  • Familiarity with NFPA
    70E Electrical Safety Standards
  • Knowledgeable in lockout/tagout and other applicable safety procedures.
  • Willing to work flexible hours, including some weekends, holidays, and nights.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license and have and be able to maintain a clean driving record.
  • Able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and frequently lift and/or move 100-pound test sets.
  • Strong interpersonal skills:
    Candidate should be able to effectively and efficiently communicate with clients and coworkers.
  • Computer literacy:
    Candidate should be competent in the use of relevant computer programs and.
  • Independence:
    Candidate should be able to work independently and manage multiple projects effectively.
