Knik Construction is seeking a Heavy Equipment Oiler to service and support construction equipment across multiple remote project locations throughout Alaska. This is a seasonal position requiring travel and living on-site at remote job locations. Davis-Bacon wages apply where applicable.
Pay: $55–$82 per hour, depending on experience/project. This position typically involves long hours and substantial overtime during the construction season.
Key Responsibilities:
- Use parts books and ordering systems to manage inventory and order heavy equipment parts
- Service and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment, including engines, motors, pneumatic tools, and production systems
- Fuel, oil, and lubricate equipment as required
- Coordinate with mechanics to resolve equipment issues efficiently
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety standards
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Valid Class A CDL with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements
- Current DOT medical card
- Experience with heavy construction equipment
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a high-production environment
- Detail-oriented, adaptable, and able to perform under tight deadlines
- Must be able to work in all weather conditions
- Must pass a pre-hire DOT FMCSA drug test
- High school diploma or GED
