This position is Monday-Friday averaging from 2-4 hours/day in the morning and afternoon and entails safely transporting children from the before and after school program to and from school and on field trips. Responsibilities include following safety rules and traffic regulations in order to operate vehicle in a safe and courteous manner, performing daily safety inspections and prepare and submit daily reports, promote and maintain professional conduct when working with families, children, staff and the general public, Participate in training related to job including Driver Safety, CPR/First Aid, Bloodborne Pathogens and Mandated Reporting Procedures and perform all duties in compliance with State and Local licensing requirements, policies and procedures.
Applicants must possess effective communication skills, be extremely reliable, responsible and be committed to the philosophy and goals of the YMCA. Applicants must be at least 21 years old with a clean driving record and possess a CT Public Service License. Perfect for a retired person looking for PT employment. Free YMCA membership.
