Senior Tax Accountant

Description

We're seeking a tax accountant who would like to join a large corporate organization and grow your skills and knowledge in tax accounting and overall business.

• Prepare and/or review state income tax filings of the corporation.
• Estimate state income tax liabilities of the corporation.
• Perform state and local tax research regarding changing state income tax rules, special projects, studies, etc.
• Perform state income tax audits for the corporation's state tax returns.
• Analyze state tax information.

• 4 years experience working with state income tax laws and procedures.
• 4 years experience working preparing state C-Corp income tax returns.
• Ability to perform moderately complex tax research and correctly interpret tax law.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications especially Excel and Word (features include VLookup, Pivot Tables, Formulas, Multiple Worksheets, Tables, Templates, etc.).
• High level of accuracy, attention to details and ability to work with a team and independently with little guidance.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with peers, customers, and managers.

• CPA and/or Masters Degree in Tax, Accounting, or related discipline.
• 3+ years experience with a Big Four or large public accounting firm.
• State audit experience.
• Familiarity with ASC 740 and Sarbanes–Oxley.
• Familiarity with Thomson Reuters One Source and Corp Tax.
• Familiarity with AI, Alteryx and/or dashboards.
