Senior Accountant – Hybrid in Bethesda

About the Company and Opportunity:

• Our client is a non-profit organization in Bethesda whose focus is to strengthen communities in America.
• Due to a vacancy, they are bringing on a temporarySenior Accountantin their Bethesda office!
• Position ishybrid (3 out, 2 in) and the schedule is Monday – Friday 8am-4pm. Laptop is provided and is metro accessible!
• Pay is $40-42/hr –a great place to network, learn new software, and keep your skills alive!
• This position istemporary, but for the right candidate it could gopermanent!

Overview of the Senior Accountant role:

• Month-end Close
  • Reconciliations
  • Journal Entries
• Financial Analysis
• Oversee AP & AR
• Ad hoc projects/reporting

Preferred Qualifications for the Senior Accountant:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• 7+ years’ accounting experience
• Non-profit experience is a plus
• Proficient in Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs) are a must
• Sage Intacct and  is a plus
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
