Staff Accountant

Job Description:

Prepares and maintains financial records and reports in accordance with company policies and generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP). Records financial transactions and prepares journal entries, including accruals and adjustments, and posts entries to the general ledger. Performs account reconciliations and reviews financial data to ensure accuracy and completeness. Assists with month-end and year-end closing activities, including preparation of supporting schedules and documentation.

Prepares standard financial reports and compiles financial information for management review. Monitors and reconciles cash accounts and assists with processing and tracking accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions. Maintains accounting documentation and records to ensure compliance with internal procedures and regulatory requirements. Supports budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting processes by organizing and analyzing financial data. Performs daily treasury-related activities, including preparing reports of daily cash activity for ownership, reviewing positive pay exceptions, and ensuring bank transactions are accurately recorded in the company’s financial records.

Annual Salary:$82,000 per year

Education & Experience Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or related field, foreign equivalent acceptable, and 2 years of experience as an Accountant or rel. occupation. Experience must include independently preparing/posting journal entries, including accruals/adjustments; reconciling general ledger; performing month- and year-end close.
