Matrix Providers is hiring a Medical Office Secretary to join our team of talented professionals who provide health care services to our Military Service Members and their families in at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, Bethesda, MD.
- Employment Status: Part-Time
- Compensation: This is an hour position, paid bi-weekly.
- $22.48/hour & H&W $5.09
- Schedule: Saturday and Sunday - 2:45pm - 11:15pm
- Clinic: Mother Infant Care Center (MICC)
- Systems: MHS Genesis

The Medical Office Secretary must have and meet the following:
- Education/Certification: High School Diploma or Associate's Degree.
- Certificates: Basic Life Support
- Experience: Possess a minimum of one year professional experience in an office environment as a secretary or receptionist.
Medical Office Secretary Core Job Duties:
- Provide administrative and secretarial support by managing correspondence, preparing reports, maintaining files, scheduling meetings, and coordinating departmental communications.
- Greet and assist patients, visitors, and staff; answer telephone inquiries; check patients in and out; schedule appointments; and provide exceptional customer service.
- Enter, retrieve, and maintain patient and administrative information in MHS GENESIS and other healthcare systems while ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable standards.
- Prepare, review, and maintain records, timekeeping documentation, statistical reports, supply inventories, and other departmental administrative functions.
- Utilize Microsoft Office and other office automation systems to create documents, track data, maintain shared databases, and support daily clinic operations.
- Demonstrate strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills while exercising sound judgment, maintaining confidentiality, and supporting a high-volume healthcare environment.
