Note:
This position is contingent on contract award. Candidates will be contacted only if this contract is awarded to BSI.

About the Role

We're seeking a TAGME/C-TAGME-certified or equivalent Graduate Medical Education professional to serve as GME Institutional Administrator supporting the Designated Institutional Official (DIO) at the NIH Clinical Center — the nation's premier biomedical research hospital and ACGME Sponsoring Institution for 24 accredited residency and fellowship programs.

In this role, you'll serve as the principal administrative coordinator for the DIO, working across institutional accreditation
, Graduate Medical Education Committee (GMEC) operations, and Clinical Fellow administration
. This is a high-visibility, single-incumbent position — a step up in scope for a program-level GME Coordinator ready to move into Sponsoring Institution-level work — at the heart of one of the country's most respected academic medical institutions.

What You'll Do
  • Support institutional compliance with ACGME Institutional Requirements and coordinate Sponsoring Institution accreditation activities and reporting
  • Provide operational support for the GMEC and its subcommittees — agendas, minutes, action item tracking, and committee records
  • Coordinate the Annual Institutional Review (AIR) and Special Reviews, including data collection, survey compilation, and documentation
  • Manage the institutional GME trainee software platform and maintain institutional records and evaluations
  • Support Clinical Fellow onboarding, appointment, and administration in coordination with HR, Credentialing, Occupational Medical Service, Security/Badging, Benefits, Payroll, and International Services
  • Coordinate development and maintenance of institutional GME policies, procedures, and appointment agreement templates
  • Lead a forum of GME Program Coordinators, providing training and support across NIH Institutes and Centers
  • Support institutional strategic planning and continuous quality improvement initiatives tied to GME
What You'll Need
  • TAGME / C-TAGME certification strongly preferred (or demonstrated equivalent competency)
  • Demonstrated experience supporting an ACGME-accredited program,
    Sponsoring Institution
    , DIO
    , GMEC
, or equivalent educational governance body — at the program or institutional level
  • Working knowledge of ACGME Institutional and Program Requirements
, including Annual Institutional Reviews, Special Reviews, or accreditation site visits
  • Experience coordinating accreditation activities, including ACGME ADS Annual Updates, program applications, or complement change documentation
  • Experience with GME management systems —
    New Innovations, Med Hub, ADS
    , or comparable platforms
  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, higher education administration, business administration, public health, or a related field (master's a plus)
  • Minimum of one year of progressively responsible experience in GME administration, academic medicine, healthcare administration, or a comparable setting
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and project management skills; excellent written and verbal communication
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with strong attention to detail and discretion with confidential information

Federal/government experience is a strong plus. Candidates with prior GME experience at a federal agency, military treatment facility (e.g., Walter Reed National Military Medical Center), VA, or similar government setting are especially encouraged to apply.

Why This Role
  • Work at the center of GME operations for one of the world's leading biomedical research institutions
  • High-impact, high-visibility position with direct partnership with institutional leadership
  • Support for professional development, including attendance at a national GME/ACGME-focused conference annually

Location: NIH Clinical Center — Bethesda, MD (on-site; occasional telework may be authorized)
Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday, standard business hours (occasional early morning, evening, or extended hours for orientation, site visits, and special projects)
