Washington Episcopal School is accepting applications for a full-time Administrative Assistant to the Early Childhood and Elementary Directors.
Washington Episcopal School (WES) in Bethesda, MD is an independent, co-educational school for students from Pre-Kindergarten 3 through Grade

- Provides administrative assistance to the Early Childhood and Elementary Directors, including managing calendars, scheduling meetings, and handling correspondence.
- Generates reports and documentation related to division activities.
- Ensures effective communication between divisions and other school departments.
- Facilitates ordering of classroom materials and division supplies through approved vendors for Early Childhood and Elementary Directors and faculty.
- Supports the Early Childhood and Elementary Directors by keeping record of divisional ordering and expenses.
- Handles scheduling of substitutes for Early Childhood and Elementary teachers, both anticipated absences and last minute needs.
- Supports Front Office team as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Possesses a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- At least five years of administrative experience, ideally in a school setting.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a commitment to excellent service.
- Finds joy in working in schools.
- Demonstrates cultural competency and skills engaging with and learning from people with diverse backgrounds and experiences.
- Approaches work with energy, kindness, maturity, curiosity, flexibility, and a sense of humor.
- Regards collaboration as an essential component of professional growth and values working on a team.
- Proficiency with general technology skills, including Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace, and the ability to learn new platforms with ease.
- Demonstrates ability to work effectively in a diverse community and a commitment to inclusive, equitable practices.
- Have or can obtain a Certified Medication Technician certification for the state of Maryland

Compensation and BenefitsSalary range: $50,000 - $75,000
