After School/Extended Day Coordinator

Landon's Auxiliary Programs seeks an After School/Extended Day Coordinator for their after school program with ours 3:15-6:15 M-F. This program is designed for boys in grades 3-8 and the purpose is to provide a safe, supervised space in which students may work on their homework, read silently, or relax after school. The position is a part-time, 9-month, nonexempt position that reports to the Director of Auxiliary Programs.

Responsibilities include:

• Supervise students in a classroom, on an athletic field, or playground
• Create a positive study hall environment conducive to academic and social success
• Provide homework help as needed
• Maintain accurate records of attendance
• Distribute snacks, sports equipment, and games
• Organize, and be familiar with, student emergency contact and allergy information
• Communicate with parents and ensure students are dismissed to the appropriate adult
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Experience working with children in an academic/educational environment preferred
• Excellent communication and customer services skills
• Ability to work as a member of a team as well as independently

The expected rate of pay for this position is $22
-25 per hour.
