Teacher of the Blind and Visually Impairedto provide school-based services for alocal school in Harford County, MD for the 2026/2027 school year. Will consider candidates looking for full-time and part-time depending on preference and availability.

Job Summary:

The Extended School Year program is hiring Teachers of the Blind and Visually Impaired to provide direct instruction, adaptive materials, and consultative support to students with visual impairments tofacilitatetheir compensation for a sensory deficit and to access the academic curriculum.

Essential Functions:

  • Provide instruction in Unified English Braille (UEB) Nemeth Code, visual discrimination, and other areas specific to students with visual impairments

  • Knowledge of Neurological Visual Impairments and facilitation techniques to support visual access

  • Independently plan and effectively deliver curriculum based on needs specified in Individual Educational Plans.

  • Observes,evaluate sand prepares reports onprogressof students.
