Program Overview &The Role
Peraton is seeking a Quality Field Engineering Manager to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing project management and systems engineering direction for mission‑critical FAA system installations. This position will direct regional teams of multi‑discipline quality field engineers and technicians ensuring that processes and deliverables for mission‑critical FAA systems meet defined quality standards.
The role works closely with engineers, developers, and program managers, and offers an excellent opportunity to gain in‑depth experience in federal contracting while supporting high‑visibility aviation programs.
- Provide leadership and direction to Quality Field Engineering team members.
- Communicate and coordinate directly with the Quality Director, solution team members, engineers, developers, suppliers, and program managers.
- Understand, establish and maintain quality field engineering requirements and results across the program.
- Establish and maintain the quality field engineering plan for the program.
- Provide project management for quality field engineering for site installations.
- Report results of site visits, inspections, and audits to leadership and metrics team for analysis.
- Support program risk assessments.
- 10 years of experience, may have supervisory or lead experience.
- U.S. citizenship required.
- Ability to obtain / maintain a Public Trust clearance.
- Strong knowledge of quality frameworks and best practices.
- Experience with planning and conducting quality field engineering at multiple integration levels.
- Strong understanding of FAA systems and sites.
- Experience using automation, tools, or innovative processes to increase efficiency and effectiveness of quality field engineering.
- Experience performing and/or managing quality field engineering for complex sites.
- Experience working as a specialty quality inspector for domains such as RF/antenna, environmental systems, cybersecurity, or network equipment inspection.
Target salary range: $104,000 – $166,000. Eligible employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
