Systems Engineer
Lockheed Martin is seeking a talented level 3 Sr. Hardware Engineer with a TS/SCI w/ Poly clearance to work from an OCONUS location. This early‑mid career role requires 3+ years of professional experience and a BS degree.
Position is part of an expat multi‑contractor team, supporting the operations and maintenance of a large‑scale RF communication site across multiple systems. The role is a 24×7 shift work schedule with a 2‑year commitment on site beginning upon initial relocation.
Responsibilities- Shift work schedule (24×7)
- Generate discrepancy reports and work off/report resolution
- Provide operations & maintenance training/mentoring, trend analysis, and procedure development
- Collect data, isolate faults, and perform real‑time manual actions to restore system capabilities
- Participate in corrective maintenance, including removal, replacement, repair, and testing of failed hardware
- Collaborate with on‑site hardware engineers on discrepancy work‑off related activities
- Assist with installation efforts and special test configurations
- Attend, participate in, and/or lead contractor and customer meetings
- Perform maintenance activities that may involve climbing multiple sets of stairs, lifting/carrying up to 50 lbs, and working in non‑environment‑controlled work spaces
- Current TS/SCI security clearance with valid CI Polygraph
- Ability to travel to an OCONUS overseas site
- Experience with customer‑built and COTS‑based high‑speed networks, IT systems, and real‑time software applications supporting communications systems
- Experience with MS Office products, Windows‑based operating systems and applications
- Physical ability to climb multiple sets of stairs, lift/carry up to 50 lbs, and work in non‑environment‑controlled work spaces
- Experience providing Ground Engineering O&M support, RF communication antennas and associated transmit/receive hardware systems, wideband/narrow band applications, signal analysis
- Technical experience with SATCOM ground terminals including parabolic antennas, receive/transmit equipment, control and status networks, IF and baseband signal processing
- Technical experience with varied test equipment, including built‑in test equipment, oscilloscopes, spectrum/link/network analyzers, power meters and signal generation equipment
- Technical experience with facility support systems for RF ground terminal systems (power, HVAC, etc.)
- Prior electronics and/or satellite communications training or experience
- Knowledge of network management, TCP/IP, Cisco IOS, VMware, scripting, Windows 7, and Microsoft software products
- IAT Level I or higher certification (A+, Network+, Security+, etc.)
- Strong oral and written communication skills
