Senior Tax Accountant

** We're seeking a tax accountant who would like to join a large corporate organization and grow your skills and knowledge in tax accounting and overall business

This role will be responsible for the following:

Prepare and/or review state income tax filings of the corporation

Estimate state income tax liabilities of the corporation

Perform state and local tax research regarding changing state income tax rules, special projects, studies, etc

Perform state income tax audits for the corporation's state tax returns

Analyze state tax information

* Basic Qualifications:

*
* 4 years experience working with state income tax laws and procedures

 4 years experience working preparing state C Corp income tax returns

 Ability to perform moderately complex tax research and correctly interpret tax law

 Proficiency w/Microsoft Office Applications especially Excel and Word  features include: VLookup, Pivot Tables, Formulas, Multiple Worksheets, Tables, Templates, etc  

 High level of accuracy, attention to details and ability to work with a team and independently with little guidance

Effective verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with peers, customers, and managers

** Desired

Skills:

*
* CPA and/or Masters Degree in Tax, Accounting, or related discipline

 3  years experience with a Big Four or large public accounting firm

 State audit experience

 Familiarity with ASC 740 and SARBOX

 Familiarity with Thomson Reuters One Source and Corp Tax

 Familiarity with AI, Alteryx and/or dashboards

The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility  The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process

** Work Schedules:
** Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees   Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed   These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits

** Schedule for this Position:
** 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week

** Pay Rate:
** The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York  excluding most major metropolitan areas , Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $73,800    $130,180  For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location  Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only  Lockheed Martin considers factors such as  but not limited to  scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer
