A leading real estate investment and development firm is seeking a Senior Associate to join its Investments team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced investment professional to take on a leadership role across acquisitions, underwriting, asset management, and transaction execution while working closely with senior leadership on strategic investment decisions.
The successful candidate will play a key role in sourcing and evaluating new investment opportunities, leading financial analysis and due diligence efforts, managing transaction processes, and supporting portfolio performance across a diverse commercial real estate platform. This individual will also help mentor junior team members and contribute to the firm's overall investment strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead underwriting and financial analysis for acquisitions, developments, and other investment opportunities, including complex financial modeling, valuation analysis, and return projections
- Evaluate market trends, investment risks, and property performance to support investment recommendations
- Manage due diligence processes, financing activities, and transaction execution from initial evaluation through closing
- Partner with asset management teams to monitor portfolio performance and identify value creation opportunities
- Prepare and present investment memoranda and recommendations to senior leadership and investment committees
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including lenders, brokers, legal counsel, and operating partners
- Mentor and provide guidance to Analysts and Associates while reviewing financial models and investment analyses
- Support strategic initiatives and contribute to the firm's investment sourcing and execution efforts
Qualifications:
- 4–8 years of experience in real estate private equity, acquisitions, asset management, investment management, or related commercial real estate investment roles
- Advanced financial modeling, underwriting, and valuation skills
- Demonstrated experience leading commercial real estate transaction processes
- Strong understanding of real estate investment structures, capital markets, and financing
- Proficiency in Excel; ARGUS experience is highly preferred
- Excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Real Estate, Economics, or a related field
