We are seeking an Associate with an interest in financial services policy and financial markets. Associates support the development of differentiated investment ideas grounded in rigorous policy analysis for our client base, which includes capital market and private equity investors. They will work closely with senior team members and regularly engage with policymakers, regulators, industry leaders, and investors across the U.S. financial services sector.

The ideal candidate will bring at least one year of relevant professional experience
, strong analytical and communication skills, intellectual curiosity, and a demonstrated interest in the intersection of policy and financial markets. Successful Associates will be highly motivated professionals who are eager to develop expertise, contribute thoughtful insights, and thrive in Capstone’s intense but rewarding, meritocratic environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct research and analysis on U.S. financial services policy, regulation, and markets
  • Support the development of differentiated, value-oriented investment ideas
  • Monitor and assess legislative, regulatory, and political developments and their implications for investors
  • Synthesize complex information into clear, actionable insights for clients
  • Engage with policymakers, regulators, industry experts, and other stakeholders to gather information and perspectives
  • Contribute to client deliverables, presentations, and broader team research
  • Manage assigned work streams independently while collaborating closely with senior team members
  • Develop expertise across key areas of the U.S. financial services sector
Qualifications
  • Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills
  • Intellectual curiosity and creativity in problem-solving
  • Ability to communicate complex issues clearly in both written and verbal formats
  • Strong research and writing capabilities
  • Interest in financial markets, policy, and politics

  • Client-service orientation and strong interpersonal skills
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred but not required
  • At least one year of relevant professional experience in consulting, investment banking, policy analysis, financial services, government, economic research, or a related field
  • High academic achievement
  • Strong proficiency in MS Excel
    ; familiarity with other analytical tools a plus
  • Exposure to the U.S. financial services sector preferred
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident
