About the Role
Culmen International is seeking a Research Scientist to support the Defense Health Agency in the field of Traumatic Brain Injury and Psychological Health, with responsibilities spanning clinical, administrative, and research operations. The position supports leadership and multidisciplinary teams by advancing research activities, evaluating program effectiveness, and translating findings into actionable insights that support organizational objectives. The role emphasizes evidence-based approaches, collaboration, and clear communication to support complex health programs.
WhatYou’ll Do in Your New Role
- Provide analytical and scientific support to leadership to advance research and evaluation initiatives.
- Support the development and alignment of research activities with organisational priorities and mission objectives.
- Conduct analyses assessing long‑term outcomes and the effectiveness of health‑related programs.
- Develop written products, including reports, technical briefs, white papers, best practice documents, and manuscripts.
- Collaborate with clinical, administrative, and research teams to integrate findings into operations and care models.
- Support the dissemination of research findings to internal and external stakeholders.
- Assist with the development, documentation, and maintenance of standard operating procedures related to research activities.
- Provide coordination and support for research‑related meetings, working groups, and collaborative activities.
- Assist with the preparation of research proposals, submissions, and related documentation, as required.
- Prepare summaries and updates on research activities and deliverables for leadership review.
- Advanced degree in a scientific, health, or research‑related field.
- Demonstrated experience supporting research, analysis, or program evaluation in a healthcare or applied research setting.
- Experience conducting analyses and synthesizing findings related to program outcomes or effectiveness.
- Strong written communication skills, including experience preparing professional reports or technical documents.
- Ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams in a structured organizational environment.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Advanced Degree in Health space (PhD, MD, MPH)
- Expertise in Behavioral/Psychological Health, TBI, Neurology/Neuroscience
- Experience in a military health setting
