We are seeking a Principal Python Software Developer to work directly with our customer to transition the functionality of the PostGIS database and the functionality of the Jupyter Notebook based on customer direction. In this role, you will develop a series of user-facing query forms to leverage stored data to enable analysts to answer questions, provide development support to analytic frontends to verify conformity and performance to proposed GUI designs, and provide subject matter expertise for metric generation, usage, and applications.

The ideal candidate for this position will have strong Python experience and familiarity with Pandas and PySpark, experience developing software in Red Hat Linux (versions 3 – 5+), and strong knowledge of Jupyter Notebooks.

• Transition PostGIS database functionality and Jupyter Notebook functionality per customer direction.
• Develop user-facing query forms to leverage stored data for analysts.
• Provide development support to analytic frontends to verify conformity and performance to proposed GUI designs.
• Provide subject matter expertise for metric generation, usage, and applications.

• TS/SCI with polygraph security clearance.
• Master of Science (M.S.) in computer science or related STEM field with nine (9) years of relevant experience, or a B.S. with eleven (11) years, an A.S. with thirteen (13) years, or a high school diploma/GED with fifteen (15) years of experience.
• Strong Python skills using Pandas and PySpark.
• Experience developing software in Red Hat Linux (versions 3 – 5+).
• Experience with Jupyter Notebooks.
• Experience with Machine Learning.
• Experience with AWS Elastic Map Reduce (EMR).

• Familiarity with customer corporate tools and data repositories.
• Familiarity with Query Time Analytics.
• Familiarity with Amazon Redshift.
• Familiarity with Postgre
  
  SQL.
