About The Role:

Peraton is looking for a driven and customer-focused Senior Data Scientist to be part of a mission-driven team delivering advanced data science solutions to support national security efforts. The role is part of an enterprise-level service to meet current and future evolving needs in areas like data design and collection, content management, data analysis to provide actionable insights and data visualization.

What

You'll Do
  • Work with team of data and system engineers to design, develop, build, analyze, evaluate data management systems to include database modeling and design, relational database architecture, metadata and repository creation and configuration management.
  • Use data mapping, data mining and data transformational analysis tools to design and develop data repositories.
  • Integrate disparate raw data from across the federated enterprise using any supported variation of the Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) process
  • Analyze enterprise level Services of Common Concern to determine gaps, opportunities, and trends to improve enterprise services
  • Design, build and maintain data visualization dashboards, reports, and other products to suit client needs
  • Provide data analytic support to design and execute surveys, data calls, and other data gathering processes across a federated network enterprise
  • Ability to clearly communicate technical or analytic findings in a easily understood narratives via graphical, written, and verbal formats
  • Use statistical methods, machine learning, natural language processing, large language models, and pattern recognition to identify insights and trends
  • Design and build intuitive dashboards and visualizations to convey analytical outcomes
Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Requires BA/BS and 8+ years of data analysis experience or no degree and 12+ years of data analysis experience.
  • TS/SCI with Polygraph level clearance is required.
  • Requires visualization and trend analysis experience.
  • Requires the ability to elicit information from a broad user base and provide applicable analytic mythologies to provide actionable insights.
  • Proficiency with multiple data analytic tools like Access, Excel, Python, R, SQL, VBA.
  • Proficiency in visualizing and presenting data using platforms such as Tableau, Power BI, or equivalent
  • Requires demonstrated ability with data analysis, data engineering, and data enrichment

Desired Qualifications:

  • 5 years' experience within the Intelligence Community
  • Hands-on experience with Jira and Confluence
  • Experience developing, deploying, and managing applications in a cloud environment.
