Overview
Analytica is seeking a Senior AI-ML Engineer (Azure) with deep Microsoft Azure ecosystem experience, combining a blend of high-level architectural design skills, proficiency in Azure’s AI toolset, and mastery of the end-to-end Machine Learning Lifecycle (MLOps). This lead role will be supporting long term federal client engagements in the DC Metro area. - Lead a small cross-functional AI-ML and Data Engineering team for delivery and participate in Agile ceremonies, including planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Translate mission objectives into actionable technical plans aligned with federal standards and modernization goals.
- Feature Engineering and Attribute Evaluation: identify key determinants for modeling that exist in the business process and data sets; select evaluation protocols (model techniques).
- Pre-processing: collect, clean, and prepare data sets for input into a computational model using Python and SQL; explain various preprocessing methods used.
- Modeling: select modeling techniques to fit the business problem (e.g., ML supervised/unsupervised, regression, neural networks, deep learning, NLP).
- Validation: investigate, report, and justify model results.
- Visualization: present results, depict insights, and explain relevance to the organization’s business challenges.
- Implement Azure cloud-native engineering, AI/ML workflows, analytics platform reliability, and governance compliance.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, Physics or related fields;
Master’s or PhD a strong plus (preferred in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related). - Azure AI Engineering and/or Azure Solutions Architect certification highly preferred.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with ability to leverage domain knowledge, IT, and AI/ML techniques.
- Programming & Frameworks:
Advanced proficiency in Python (for PyTorch, Tensor Flow, and Scikit-learn). Experience with orchestration frameworks like Lang Chain, Semantic Kernel, or Auto Gen. - Deep demonstrated enterprise hands-on experience with:
- Azure AI Foundry (formerly Azure AI Studio): managing the unified platform for building, testing, and deploying AI models.
- Azure OpenAI Service: implementing LLMs (GPT-4o, etc.) with custom fine-tuning or prompt engineering.
- Azure AI Search: designing vector databases and hybrid search for RAG-based systems.
- Azure AI Speech, Vision, and Language: integrating pre-built cognitive services into enterprise applications.
- Azure Machine Learning (Azure ML): designing and managing automated ML pipelines, environment configurations, and compute clusters.
- Experience with data, analytics, or AI/ML workflows in regulated or mission-driven environments.
- Strong communication, stakeholder engagement, and cross-team collaboration capabilities.
- U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain Public Trust security clearance.
