Position: Dev Ops Engineer (2026-0131)

We are actively hiring a Dev Ops Engineer with TS/SCI clearance and polygraph to support a program in Bethesda, MD
, providing Agile Dev Ops support to mission critical systems. This role will closely work with Development as well as other technology stakeholders to maintain, develop and support IC enterprise products. The Dev Ops Engineer will work collaboratively with software engineering to deploy and operate systems. This role will help automate and streamline operations and processes. Build and maintain tools for deployment, monitoring and operations, and troubleshoot and resolve issues in dev, test, and production environments.

Primary

Responsibilities
  • Supports software deployments, cloud infrastructure baselines, and operational availability of production systems.
  • Managing, building, configuring, administering, operating and maintaining all components that comprise the Dev Ops environment.
  • Defining enterprise Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment processes and best practices.
  • Codifying Dev Ops best practices across the enterprise.
  • Developing and maintaining scripts to automate tool deployment to an AWS cloud environment and other tasks.
  • Scripting and maintaining build environments.
  • Working with project teams to integrate their products into the Dev Ops environment.
Basic Qualifications
  • Demonstrated experience setting up one or more of the following tools:
    Git Hub, Jira, Confluence, Jenkins, and Katalon Studio.
  • Demonstrated experience troubleshooting issues with two or more of the following tools:
    Git Hub, Jira, Confluence, Jenkins, and Katalon Studio.
  • Demonstrated experience working within a software development team and supporting developers and developer activities.
  • Candidate must have HS diploma and at least 20 years of relevant experience; or Master’s degree and at least 15 years of relevant experience; or Doctorate degree and at least 13 years of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in science, technical, or engineering discipline.
  • AWS Associate Certification (Developer, Solution Architect, or Sys Ops Administrator).
  • AWS Professional Certification (Dev Ops Engineer or Solutions Architect).
  • Demonstrated experience in container orchestration using Docker, Vagrant, Kubernetes, or AWS ECS/ECR.
  • Demonstrated experience with languages including Java, Python, JavaScript, Ruby, PHP, and Unix shell scripting.
  • Demonstrated experience with Ansible or Puppet.
