We’re seeking an Artificial Intelligence Policy Engineer to support a fast‑paced, dynamic environment that supports the development of AI policy and capabilities. In this role, you will work closely with Intel government customers and IT developers to create AI policy based on experience and real‑world considerations. This position will be a subject‑matter expert, creating and translating trend analyses, and facilitating stakeholder decision‑making, policy, and governance pertaining to current and emerging AI technology.

• Be an expert in the field of artificial intelligence (AI) with an in‑depth knowledge of AI architecture and development.
• Translate highly technical concepts into policy and governance documents.
• Have in‑depth experience collaborating with various IC partners on policy and governance.
• Have expertise in one or more of the following subfields, or similar: AI engineering, AI policy, data engineering, or law pertaining to AI and emerging technology.
• Be forward‑leaning, recommending necessary improvements to achieve the customer's vision.

• Develop and shape technical plans and strategies that address complex problems and opportunities in the AI domain.
• Integrate technical expertise with business acumen and stakeholder needs, creating comprehensive plans that drive innovation and deliver results.
• Be comfortable with ambiguity and uncertainty, and navigate the complexities of cutting‑edge AI technologies.
• Provide strategic communication and stakeholder management for AI innovation, crafting and delivering clear, concise, and compelling messages to technical teams, project sponsors, and external partners on the potential and implications of AI‑driven innovation.
• Build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders, facilitating collaboration and issue resolution even when priorities change.
• Provide hands‑on expertise and the ability to drive AI‑driven innovation, acting as a proactive professional who can work independently with minimal supervision.
• Focus on delivering strategic outcomes rather than on widget and model making.
• Anticipate and navigate the implications of emerging AI technologies, identifying opportunities and challenges before they arise.

• Active TS/SCI with CI Polygraph.
• Bachelor’s degree and fourteen (14) years or more of related experience;
  Master’s degree and twelve (12) years or more of experience;
  PhD or JD and nine (9) years or more of experience.
• Experience establishing AI policy and governance documents for existing and emerging AI technology.
• Five or more years collaborating with various Intel community (IC) partners, including non‑DoD IC elements on information sharing.
• Experience creating high‑level and highly technical documents on AI policy and governance.
• Experience in at least one of the following fields: AI development, AI architecture, AI policy, data engineering, AI legal policy, and emerging technology.
