Position Overview
T-Mobile is America’s supercharged Un-carrier, delivering an advanced 4G LTE and transformative nationwide 5G network that will offer reliable connectivity for all.
Sr. Engineers, Software Full Stack located in Bethesda, MD will work with a team of other software engineers to implement and deploy complete, cloud native systems which meet customer’s requirements.
Responsibilities- Lead and build the Enterprise Data Warehouse and ETL pipelines to be used by various analytics teams.
- Confer with a team to understand project limitations and capabilities, performance requirements, and interfaces.
- Understand various business functions and how this is reflected in data.
- Analyze user needs and software requirements to determine the feasibility of design within time and cost constraints.
- Present analytics and data to other teams, advocating for high quality of data pipelines and data handling.
- Modify databases, perform tests, and solve database usage issues and malfunctions, turning raw structured and unstructured data into dimensional models that are usable by the business.
- Collaborate closely with developers to improve applications, interactions, and visual design, and establish best practices.
- Monitor the performance of APIs and optimize the response time by utilizing database techniques for faster retrieval of data.
- Automate steps of the data pipeline by performing manipulation and transformation while ensuring the integrity and quality of data in relational/No
SQL databases. - Own the design, development, and maintenance of ongoing metrics, reports, analyses, and interactive dashboards, using business intelligence software to analyze trends, identify KPIs, and communicate key concepts to executives to drive business decisions.
- Integrate third-party software to the existing tech stack using APIs or SDKs to automate different processes for operational efficiency.
- Research and understand technology implications, perform industry benchmarking and computer analysis, and articulate solutions to adopt best engineering practices in the Data world.
- Drive improvement of data analytics: follow style guide, refactor data models, implement data quality tests, increase performance, and test each step of the data pipeline.
- Document data models, data use cases, and steps of the pipeline to scale data knowledge across the organization.
- Educate teams about best data practices and advocate for self-serve analytics.

SQL databases and cloud data warehouses including Snowflake to conduct query performance optimization, identify root cause of issues, and work with both structured and unstructured data. - Utilizing Snowflake, Postgresql, and knowledge of Data Modeling to build databases and data architecture, including creating Tables, Views, Indexes, Stored procedures, and Data pipelines. Writing complex SQL queries using window functions, merge, and multiple joins.
- Working in the big data ecosystem using AWS, Hadoop, Scala, Spark, Hive, and Kafka.
- Using machine frameworks including Tensor Flow and Sci-kit Learn to utilize machine learning and work with statistical concepts including Regression, Artificial Neural Networks, Decision Trees, statistical modeling, and time-series forecasting.
- Conducting data analytics using Tableau, PowerBI, and Qlik View.
- Working with Git, source control, and command-line tools to maintain codebases.
PRIMARY REQUIREMENTS:
Master’s degree in Computer Science, or related, and 3 years of relevant work experience.
ALTERNATIVE REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or related, and 5 years of relevant work experience.
