CDM Engineer Role: CDM Engineer

Top Requirements (Must-Haves)

• 5+ years cybersecurity engineering experience (CDM, asset management, data ingestion).
• Strong experience with configuration/asset data, security tools, and enterprise visibility.
• Skilled in data ingest pipelines, integrations, and large-scale dataset validation.
• Dashboard/report development (Splunk, Power BI, Tableau, Elastic).
• Documentation experience (SOPs, standards, playbooks).
• Understanding of CDM, FISMA, federal cybersecurity frameworks.
• Experience supporting audits (GAO, OIG, HHS, CISA).

Highly Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with CISA CDM tools and dashboards.
• Dev Sec Ops , continuous monitoring, and service desk integration experience.
• NIH/HHS or federal healthcare IT experience.
• Capability Maturity Model (CMM) assessment experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain asset inventories and configuration visibility across enterprise systems.
• Manage CDM data flows, integrations, and outage reporting.
• Build dashboards and validate CDM data for external sharing.
• Produce SOPs, standards, playbooks, and technical guidance.
• Coordinate with NIH ICs, CISA, HHS, and other federal partners.
• Support audit preparation, data calls, and stakeholder briefings.
• Conduct annual CMM assessments and develop maturity roadmaps.

Education & Certifications

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, Engineering, or related field.
• Preferred certifications:
  Security+, CySA+, CISSP, CISM, ITIL, GIAC.
