Intermediate Cloud Engineer – Annapolis Junction, MD Education
Bachelor’s degree and 7 years of experience as a Cloud Engineer in an Azure environment. CompTIA Security+.
Responsibilities- Migrating data from on-premises or legacy systems to the cloud.
- Administering Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, and One Drive.
- Monitoring system health and troubleshooting technical issues.
- Conducting risk assessments.
- Identifying technical requirements.
- Managing project timelines.
- Identifying and recommending opportunities for optimization and cost savings in the cloud environment.
- Working with stakeholders to ensure business needs are met during and after migration.
- Providing post‑migration support and addressing any issues that arise.
- Documenting configurations, processes, and procedures.
- Automating administrative tasks using Power Shell scripts.
- Implementing security and compliance policies.
- Managing user accounts, permissions, and licensing.
- Ensuring seamless integration, security, and optimal performance of Microsoft 365 applications such as Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, and One Drive.
- Cloud Architecture
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and a proactive approach to addressing issues
- Power Shell (proficiency in scripting for automation and configuration management)
- Proven experience as an M365 Engineer, Cloud Engineer, or similar role, with a focus on M365 and Azure cloud environments
- Proven experience with Azure cloud services and migration projects
- Python
- Strong ability to self‑organize and prioritize tasks
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities, with keen attention to detail
- Strong knowledge of Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, and One Drive
- Strong knowledge of cloud security principles and best practices
- Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills
- Strong proficiency in Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
- Strong understanding of Microsoft 365 (M365) and Azure platforms, including identity management, authentication mechanisms, and security controls
- Understanding of cloud security, compliance, and governance
