PositionSystem Administrator 2 – supports one of our government clients in Annapolis Junction, MD.
Responsibilities- Provide support for the implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of IT systems.
- Manage IT system infrastructure and related processes.
- Support IT systems including day‑to‑day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, etc.
- Provide Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis and resolution.
- Escalate and communicate status to agency management and internal customers.
- Support the dispatch system and hardware problems and remain involved in the resolution process.
- Configure and manage UNIX and Windows operating systems, install/load operating system software, troubleshoot, maintain integrity and configure network components, and implement operating system enhancements to improve reliability and performance.

- DoD 8570 compliance with IAT Level I or higher.
- 10 years of experience as a System Administrator in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university (or five years of additional SA experience may be substituted).
- Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of IT systems.
- Provide Tier 1 (Help Desk) problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problems.
- Manage daily activities of configuration and operation of IT systems.
- Assist users in accessing and using IT systems.
- Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 problem identification, diagnosis and resolution (U).
- Provide support to IT systems including day‑to‑day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, etc.
- Provide support for escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers.
- Optimize system operations and resource utilization, perform system capacity analysis and planning.
- In‑depth experience in troubleshooting IT systems.
- Provide detailed analysis and feedback to agency management and internal customers for escalated tickets.
- Provide support for the dispatch system and hardware problems and remain involved in the resolution process.
- Configure and manage UNIX, Windows (or other applicable) operating systems, install/load operating system software, troubleshoot, maintain integrity of and configure network components, and implement operating system enhancements to improve reliability and performance.
$130,000 – $145,000 per year (general guideline only; not a guarantee of compensation). Additional factors considered in extending an offer include job responsibilities, education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement, and other laws.
