This Principal Dev Ops Engineer role provides mission‑critical system support to our customer. You will work closely with the development team and other stakeholders to maintain, develop, and support IC enterprise products—both legacy and new—in an Agile SAFe environment. The role will also collaborate with software engineering to deploy and operate systems, automate and streamline operations, build and maintain deployment, monitoring, and operations tools, and troubleshoot issues across dev, test, and production environments.
PrimaryResponsibilities
- Supports software deployments, cloud infrastructure baselines, and operational availability of production systems.
- Manages, builds, configures, administers, operates, and maintains all components of the Dev Ops environment.
- Defines enterprise Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment processes and best practices.
- Codifies Dev Ops best practices across the enterprise.
- Develops and maintains scripts to automate tool deployment to an AWS cloud environment and other tasks.
- Scrips and maintains build environments.
- Works with project teams to integrate their products into the Dev Ops environment.
- Demonstrated experience setting up Git Hub, Jira, Confluence, Jenkins, and/or Katalon Studio.
- Demonstrated experience troubleshooting issues with at least two of Git Hub, Jira, Confluence, Jenkins, and Katalon Studio.
- Experience working within a software development team and supporting developers.
- Bachelor’s degree with 12+ years of relevant work experience or Master’s degree with 10+ years of relevant work experience (additional experience may offset degree requirements).
- Active TS/SCI with polygraph security clearance required.
- Master’s degree in science, technical, or engineering discipline.
- AWS Associate Certification (Developer, Solution Architect, or Sys Ops Administrator).
- AWS Professional Certification (Dev Ops Engineer or Solutions Architect).
- Experience with container orchestration using Docker, Vagrant, Kubernetes, or AWS ECS/ECR.
- Experience with Java, Python, JavaScript, Ruby, PHP, and Unix shell scripting.
- Experience with Ansible or Puppet.
