Cloud Computing: Infrastructure & Operations
The position is within the newly merged waters corporation as part of its expanding cloud and Dev Ops capabilities. Applicants will build and maintain secure, automated infrastructure and deployment pipelines to support regulated, high‑volume analytical science environments.
Responsibilities- Design, provision, and manage cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Azure Rollout, or equivalent.
- Create documentation on CI/CD pipelines and practices for software teams.
- Build, maintain, and troubleshoot CI/CD pipelines that deploy both application code and cloud infrastructure.
- Integrate security practices, including automated scanning, static analysis, and compliance checks, into CI/CD workflows.
- Monitor and improve system security posture, including vulnerability management and incident response.
- Collaborate with development teams to ensure secure and reliable build, deployment, and operational practices.
- Stay current on emerging threats and technologies to continuously enhance the company’s security posture.
- Develop technical solutions for complex problems, applying sound engineering principles while adhering to FDA regulations and Waters quality systems.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related STEM field.
- 5–7 years of proven experience in software development.
- Strong understanding of Dev Ops principles and methodologies.
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Git Lab CI, or CircleCI.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and securing cloud infrastructures.
- Experience with IaC tools such as Terraform/Open Tofu, ARM templates, Bicep, Ansible, or Pulumi.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Self‑motivated planning, organizing, and prioritizing of assigned activities.
- Familiarity with containerization technologies, including Docker and Kubernetes, is preferred.
- Proficiency in using security tools for static and dynamic analysis (e.g., Sonar Cloud, OWASP ZAP).
- Experience in application performance tuning.
- Experience with C#, Python, SQL, or Power Shell for scripting and automation.
Primary work location: USA – MD – Sparks, 7 Loveton Circle.
For most roles, a minimum of four days of in‑office presence per week is required to support company culture and collaboration. Specific arrangements for remote or field‑based roles will be noted separately.
Salary RangeUSD 95,900.00 – annual.
