Information System Security Officer (ISSO) – Mid / Senior Level – FULLY CLEARED with POLYGRAPH REQUIRED. Locations:
Annapolis Junction, MD / Laurel, MD / Fort Meade, MD. Core functions include securing infrastructures and systems security personnel within Software Development – DEV
01. Key domains:
Information Assurance, IAVA, System Security Plans (SSPs), RMF, Windows, Linux, Authorization to Operate, Verification and Validation, Security+, Security X (CASP+), NIST 800‑53.
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must have TS/SCI clearance with an active polygraph within the last five (05) years.
- At least twelve (12) years of direct or relevant experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Assurance, Information Security, System Engineering or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required, or four (04) years of additional relevant experience on projects with similar processes may be substituted.
- Security+ Certification or Security X (previously CASP+) Certification required.
- Experience as an ISSO working independently and/or on teams maintaining secure information system operations in isolated, connected, and standalone environments.
- At least five (05) years of experience using tools to support IAVA management.
- At least five (05) years of experience using tools to support the preparation, maintenance, and management of SSPs and other security related documentation.
- Demonstrated knowledge of and experience with current security tools; hardware/software security implementation; communication protocols; and encryption techniques/tools.
- In‑depth experience completing security evaluations of software systems or architectures to ensure they meet security requirements.
- In‑depth experience proposing, coordinating, implementing, and enforcing information systems security policies, standards, and methodologies, preferably on a large software or IT program.
- Demonstrated experience performing day‑to‑day security operations of large, complicated information and data processing systems.
- Commitment to developing and adhering to best practices.
- High level of self‑initiative and a solutions‑oriented team player.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.

Extensive experience as an Information Systems Security Officer on large software development and integration programs.
- $170,000 - $215,000 a year (general guideline only).
