Manager, Global Network Operations

• • Oversee, scale, and maintain global corporate network infrastructure
• • Bridge the gap between strategic infrastructure design and day-to-day operational excellence
• • Manage the regular maintenance, uptime, and troubleshooting of enterprise network
• • Lead critical scale initiatives, including modernizing identity-driven security and securing proprietary quantum assets
• • Execute seamless M&A network integration roadmaps for newly acquired subsidiaries
• • Oversee the implementation, monitoring, maintenance, and support of global LAN, WAN, Wireless, and VPN infrastructure
• • Configure, manage, and lifecycle network hardware from major vendors
• • Participate in an on-call rotation for critical network issues
• • Establish and manage a robust on-call rotation schedule
• • Lead the operational roadmap for integrating newly acquired subsidiaries into a unified IonQ infrastructure
• • Ensure compliance with CMMC and SOC2 Type II frameworks

• 7-10 years of experience in network engineering and administration
• At least 3-5 years in leadership, project management, or operations management
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent practical work experience
• Deep understanding of core networking protocols and technologies, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and routing protocols (OSPF, BGP)
• Strong hands-on experience configuring and managing enterprise firewalls (e.g., Fortinet, Palo Alto Networks), secure VPN tunneling, and access control lists
• Practical experience building, auditing, or maintaining networks within highly regulated frameworks such as SOC2 Type II or CMMC
• Familiarity navigating migrations from traditional On-Prem Active Directory domains to modern, identity-driven cloud directories (e.g., Jump Cloud, Okta) and Conditional Access Policies
• Exceptional interpersonal skills with a proven track record of collaborating effectively with subsidiary IT leads, internal stakeholders, and external vendors during stressful infrastructure transitions
• Ability to participate in an after-hours on-call rotation and travel occasionally to other IonQ manufacturing or office sites

Demonstrates expertise in managing and maintaining global network infrastructure, with a strong focus on compliance with CMMC and SOC2 Type II frameworks. Proven ability to lead network integration initiatives and collaborate effectively with diverse teams during critical transitions.
