We are seeking a System Database Developer - Sec Dev Ops to join our team and support our client. The ideal candidate is a technically versatile developer and systems integrator with a passion for secure automation, data integration, and operational visibility. This individual enjoys solving complex problems, connecting disparate systems, and building scalable solutions that improve cybersecurity operations, data quality, and enterprise decision-making.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, and maintain secure integrations between enterprise cybersecurity, operational, and data systems.
  • Develop centralized views of tool data that improve visibility, support automation, and strengthen security operations.
  • Create dashboards, workflows, and consolidated reporting capabilities using enterprise tools and custom integrations.
  • Support the integration of data from a broad range of security, infrastructure, identity, cloud, and IT management platforms.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to streamline interfaces, improve data quality, and enable more effective risk prioritization and response.
  • Build and enhance workflows in platforms such as SharePoint, Splunk, and Service Now to support information security management objectives.

Work Experience and Job

Skills:

  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience working with APIs, including SOAP and REST services.
  • Experience as a systems integrator, developer, or programmer supporting enterprise automation and Dev Sec Ops -related initiatives.
  • Strong experience with data aggregation, correlation, dashboard development, and enterprise workflow automation.
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity tools, IT management platforms, cloud services, scripting, and secure integration approaches.
  • Ability to connect and centralize data across multiple platforms in support of operational reporting, security visibility, and risk management.

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree is required. Preferred field of study in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or related field of study.
  • Master's Degree in a relevant field of study preferred.

Certificates, Licenses and Registrations:

  • Desired certifications may include vendor-specific or language-specific developer certifications such as Red Hat, Oracle, DBA, PostgreSQL, SQL, MySQL, Java, PHP, Splunk, Service Now, Python, JavaScript, C++, Excel, VBA, or SharePoint.
  • IT security certifications such as CISSP, SSCP, and Security+ are considered a plus.

Communication

Skills:

  • Excellent verbal and written skills, ability to present proposals and performance data, comfortable interfacing all levels of organization.
  • Ability to write clear and concise creative content in a highly confidential manner.

Clearance Requirements:

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.

Travel:

  • Work under this task order is expected to be performed primarily remotely at the contractor's non-Federally controlled facility.
  • Key personnel are expected to work onsite in Bethesda, Maryland two days per week, with onsite schedules and working hours subject to approval by Federal staff.
  • Additional onsite meetings or temporary support within Federally controlled facilities may be required based on program needs.

Environmental Requirements:

  • Mainly a routine office environment.
  • May be required to lift up to ten (10) pounds
  • Flexible in working extended hours
