Field Application Engineer
Our client, a government contractor, is seeking an experienced Field Application Engineer to work as a liaison between their engineering team and the federal customer environment where their product is deployed. This is a hands-on, customer-facing engineering role that requires QA, validation, and system administration work. This position is 50% onsite at the client location in southern Maryland, and you will be required to obtain a security clearance.
As such, only US Citizens can be considered for this role.
- Be a primary day to day onsite support engineer for the production deployments (in and out of SCIF)
- Work with internal software engineering team to improve the product deployment and client experience
- Design and conduct software deployment testing and validation procedures
- Experience with DISA STIGs
- Linux System Administration (prefer RHEL)
- Experience with automation tools, such as Ansible, Bash, Python
- Experience interfacing with technical and non-technical customers and stakeholders
- Experience with on-prem and cloud environments
- Ability to read and analyze application logs to assess application health
