Overview

The Strategic Sourcing & Contract Manufacturing Manager is the relationship owner for Fulfillment Technologies and Robotics (FTR) suppliers. You will manage a diverse portfolio of global and regional suppliers—including contract manufacturers, original design manufacturers, and integrators—across services such as manufacturing, integration, assembly, kitting, procurement, inventory management, forward and reverse logistics, and design of custom electronic assemblies and large integrated systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the sourcing, selection, contract negotiation, and management of one or more suppliers in alignment with the overarching supply chain strategy to achieve competitive sourcing, continuous improvement, and strong engineering and logistics services.
  • Oversee the commercial and contractual aspects of supplier relationships and drive multi‑functional teams to align with supplier involvement.
  • Manage supplier performance and conduct cross‑functional business reviews.
  • Engage with Product Development, Engineering, Internal Manufacturing, Supplier Quality, Finance, Tech Deployment, Worldwide Operations, and other Supply Chain teams to achieve programmatic objectives.
  • Collaborate with engineering and program teams throughout product development, with a high emphasis on new product introduction (NPI) to support global deployment, ensuring sourcing strategies meet technical, cost, schedule and business goals.
  • Drive value through effective supplier management, negotiation, contract adherence, and financial oversight to protect Amazon’s bottom line and maintain brand alignment with customer requirements.

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 7+ years of experience in supply chain, supplier management, and strategic sourcing
  • 5+ years of cross‑functional experience with tech and non‑tech teams, and in project management
  • Expertise in RFQs, supplier selection, risk mitigation, and contract negotiation
  • Skilled in global supplier cost, risk, and lead time reduction strategies
  • Data‑driven approach to program execution and continuous improvement
  • Experienced in process standardization and developing business strategies across teams
  • Strong leadership in NPI programs and supplier management
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in Business Administration, Industrial or Operations Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in an ambiguous environment while prioritizing and managing multiple stakeholders and delivering first‑of‑their‑kind programs with aggressive schedules.
  • Highly effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Highly proficient in using Microsoft Office tools, Tableau analytics, and ERP/PLM Systems.
