Responsibilities
  • Perform maintenance, repair, cleaning, custodial, and operational activities on campus.
  • Conduct regular reviews and inspections of facilities, grounds, and equipment using defined checklists.
  • Assist in insurance inspections and prepare summaries of findings.
  • Use initiative to identify and solve problems to maintain campus appearance and safety.
  • Coordinate with parish staff to schedule activities, balancing needs of the school, rectory, and church.
  • Maintain lists of contractors and vendors, assist with contract administration, and monitor performance.
  • Maintain an inventory of materials and equipment needed for maintenance and repair.
  • Be available “on call” to respond to emergencies and work extended hours when required.
  • Perform routine and special maintenance activities, including cleaning, repair, custodial duties, and ensuring buildings and grounds remain clean, hazard‑free, and operational.
  • Coordinate work with contractors in areas such as landscaping, plumbing, tree removal, painting, roofing, snow removal, electrical, and light construction.
Qualifications
  • Experience in maintenance, custodial, or facilities management roles.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, displaying flexibility and consideration for others.
  • Strong organizational and inventory‑management skills.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to coordinate with contractors and staff.
  • Willingness to work on an “on call” basis and during extended hours as needed.
  • Knowledge of safety procedures and facility operations is a plus.
