Chief Operating Officer (COO) – Innovative Medical Device Company | Maryland

Overview

Are you a seasoned operations leader ready to partner with a visionary CEO and propel a dynamic medical device company to the next level? Our client, a rapidly growing and innovative medical device firm based in Maryland, is seeking a Chief Operating Officer (COO) to drive operational excellence, scale business performance, and support strategic growth initiatives.

Base pay range

$/yr - $/yr

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and optimize all operational aspects of the company across manufacturing, supply chain, quality, regulatory, and commercial functions.
  • Collaborate closely with the CEO to develop and execute growth strategies, operational plans, and key initiatives.
  • Build, mentor, and inspire high-performing teams aligned with company values and business objectives.
  • Drive process improvements, scalability, and operational efficiencies to support rapid growth and product innovation.
  • Manage vendor relationships, regulatory compliance, and risk to ensure seamless business continuity.
  • Provide insightful reporting and KPIs to the executive team and board to support data-driven decision making.
Ideal Experience & Skills
  • Proven COO or senior operations leadership experience in medical devices, healthcare technology, or related regulated environments.
  • Deep understanding of manufacturing, supply chain, quality systems, and regulatory frameworks (FDA, ISO).
  • Demonstrated success scaling operations in a high-growth, innovative company.
  • Strong leadership capabilities with a collaborative, transparent style and ability to motivate cross-functional teams.
  • Exceptional strategic thinking, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience working closely with executive leadership and boards.
