Lockheed Martin's Communications team is seeking an intern to help with executive communications and innovation storytelling. The ideal candidate has communications and/or journalism related coursework and experience and is interested in pursuing a corporate communications career. This intern will join a dynamic team and will have opportunities to support key projects to advance our strategic priorities. This will include generating content across multiple platforms, conducting research to support comms initiatives and supporting executive communications and presentations.

Basic Qualifications:

* Pursuit of a bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, journalism, or similar degree

* Fundamental understanding of communications strategy, tactics and channels

* Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and stellar attention to detail.

* Exceptional writing, editing and oral communications skills with the ability to convey highly complex information in clear, compelling ways

* Strong, polished interpersonal skills and ability to work with different teams in a fast-paced environment.

Skills:

* Experience creating and publishing editorial content for web, social and email

* Motivated self-starter who performs without appreciable direction and works effectively under competing priorities and tight deadlines

* Collaborative and team-oriented

Ability to Work Remotely: Full-time Remote Telework:
The employee selected for this position will work remotely full time at a location other than a Lockheed Martin designated office/job site. Employees may travel to a Lockheed Martin office for periodic meetings.

Work Schedules:
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California, Massachusetts, and New York is $36,504 - $77,788. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
