RN II - Operating Room

Position

Suburban Hospital is a 228-bed, not-for-profit, community-based hospital in Bethesda, Maryland, part of the Johns Hopkins Medicine network. The hospital is a level II Trauma Center.

Role
: OR Nurse – Evening Shift (Full Time, 36 hours)

• Circulate the operating room during various surgical services including Trauma Surgery, Cardiac Surgery, Thoracic Surgery, Vascular Surgery, Plastic Surgery, GYN Surgery, Neurosurgery, Orthopaedic Surgery, Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, and Robotics.
• Assist surgeons and other OR personnel in all phases of surgery.
• Maintain sterile environment and appropriate equipment usage.
• Perform pre‑operative and intra‑operative assessments and support postoperative patient care.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Active RN license in Maryland or a compact state.
• BLS CPR certification through AHA, Red Cross, or Military training required.
• Minimum 6 months of nursing experience (1 year preferred).
• OR experience preferred.

Salary Range
:
Minimum $43.25 per hour – Maximum $67.04 per hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
